A Word from Chad - December 2013

Posted by Chad Grayson on with 0 Comments

Let me first say, Merry Christmas! I pray you will join us in Bible study and worship this month as we celebrate the birth of our King, Jesus. There are lots of exciting things happening at FBCT during the month of December. Our students will lead our Sunday evening service on December 1st. On December 8th, evening worship will be led by our amazing adult celebration choir as they present He Is the Great I AM. I am super excited about children who will lead us in evening worship on December 15th by presenting God with Us. Please make plans to be here each of those evenings because each will be an awesome time of worship! Also during the morning of December 8th, my friend and fellow laborer in the Lord, Victor, will preach both morning services. Victor is one of our international missionaries. Make sure not to miss this dear brother speaking about what God is doing for His glory. Also remember our Christmas Eve service at 5:00 p.m. onDecember 24th. This is always a special time for our church families to come and worship our Savior.

On January 5, 2014, I will preach a very important message regarding our Strategic Plan and future of First Baptist Church Tupelo. The staff and I are overwhelmingly excited about where we believe God is leading us as a faith family. Please, please, please, don’t miss
that Sunday! May He be glorified in all we do! He is worthy of our service and worship!

I recently read this quote by Nancy Leigh DeMoss, “No amount of activity in the King’s service will make up for neglect of the King Himself.” I pray that as you participate in all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, you will take time to pause often and
remember the Reason for the Season. May we never be guilty of neglecting the King of Kings!

I love you First Baptist! I am so honored to serve you as your pastor.

Longing for His return,
Pastor Chad
