At First Baptist, we love students. Our passion is to see them become life long followers of Jesus. Our student ministry is centered around four words.
CONNECT:
We want our students to connect with God, other students, and a group of caring adults. We strive to create a safe environment where students are: KNOWN, VALUED, LOVED and CARED FOR.
GROW:
We want our students to GROW to KNOW Jesus better. The more we know Jesus the more we fall in love with Him. The more we fall in love with Him the easier it is to follow Him. The easier it is to follow Him the more we begin to look like Him. Our Ministry offers both large group (exciting) and small group (meaningful) experiences to Grow to Know Jesus better.
SERVE:
In a culture that is selfish and "me" centered we are challenging our students to put God and others first. We want our students to become the HANDS and FEET of Jesus serving our Community, Nation and World.
STAY:
A recent Lifeway Research Group Survey found that 88% of students who graduate high school leave the church (that is 4 out of 5 students). We want to change that statistic in our Community. We believe that if students are committed to CONNECT, GROW and SERVE they are far more likely to REMAIN in the church and connected to Christ.
We hope to see you at one of the following times:
Sunday Worship at 8:15am or 11:00am on Sunday Mornings
Sunday Bible Study at 9:45am in the Church Street Cafe
Wednesday Night Worship at 5:42pm in the Church Street Cafe
